Global Catastrophe 2010: Tea Party Conservative Republicans Help the Corporate Elite Conquer USA
by Green Education Network Chairman and CEO Gregory Hilbert
Â
If conservative Tea Party Republicans sweep the U.S. fall elections, the conquest of America by corporate greed will be complete. By mid-century the world will be purged of billions of human beings our planet will no longer have the resources to sustain.Â
Yes, I am doom-saying and I pray to God you’ll hear me out.
The horrific mess we are in is a direct consequence of the usurpation of the U.S. Treasury, government, political parties, politicians, media, and society as a whole by the greed of the corporate elite, and by the army of special-interest lobbyists and employee-appointees and industry-association PACs they deploy in Washington and every state capitol in the nation.
In January, Supreme Court appointees of Republicans Regan, Bush and Bush overturned a century of precedent, ruling that corporations are now free to spend all they want to gain the election of candidates who will do their bidding.
In February conservative Republican Sara Palin was chosen as the figurehead leader of the Tea Party movement. The Tea Party movement appeals to many who are enraged at our government, including decent and well-intended people determined to take our government back by storm. But in the end it is comprised chiefly of Republican ultra-conservatives and most of them applauded at their Nashville convention when the opening speaker made a blatantly racist comment about Obama. More revealing was the stand-up applause they gave Palin’s vile and pathetically partisan bashing of Obama, as though the horrific mess we are in was all his doing.
Are you beginning to get the picture? The corporate elite love the Obama bashing.
And what do the corporate elite want? The same thing Palin, Tea Partiers and conservative Republicans want: drastic cuts in government spending and taxes and more “help” for business small and large. Read CORPORATIONS.
Friends, no amount of throwing out the rascals of either party will help if we do not first rid our government, parties, and politicians of their domination by corporate special interests and their elite whose greed was free to run amok in consequence of banking deregulation.
I wish Sara Palin were only an opportunistic and forgivable idiot. The fact is, she is dangerous, and more so than any tyrant dictator you can name. She will be out stumping for conservative Republican and Tea Party candidates throughout 2010, bashing Obama all the while and doing nothing to bring the corporate elite to heel.
The real enemy of the common good, the corporate elite, will concurrently spend millions from corporate coffers to back those same candidates, and if this unholy alliance succeeds in November, all hope of ever regaining government of, by and for the people will be forever lost. Your children will be indentured servants to an Everest of corporate debt piled atop that already robbing millions of their jobs, homes, savings and futures. And there won’t be enough resources left for their children to have a chance.Â
It took Obama a year to learn just how God-awful was the mess, and I do not disagree that SOME of what he supported (that Republicans and Democrats alike pressed for) was wasteful. But if you look at what he’s up against, and just what it is that needs vanquishing — corporate greed that dominates the Republican party, many in his own party, and those fools throwing money into one-time prop-ups rather than investments in things like alternative-energy technology development that creates sustainable jobs and yields a strategic return in reduced dependence on the oil the world will run out of by 2050 or 2075 at the latest, oil that will be ever more costly as supplies fall — then maybe you’ll focus your attack on public enemy number one: the short-sighted and greedy corporate elitists and special interests who usurped your government, robbed you blind, and used your money to pay themselves huge bonuses.
It was they who at a profit fostered a global economy that sent U.S. jobs overseas and drove other nations like China to imitate our model of devouring resources from oil to fisheries to forests to aquifers to species at a rate that could not be sustained, transferring our wealth from us to them and any nation that had supplies of oil and cheap labor to sell.
All while world population grew.Â
In the opening paragraph of this article I said “By mid-century the world will be purged of billions of human beings our planet will no longer have the resources to sustain.” You wish this were arguable, the same way some say the risk of catastrophic global warming is arguable, don’t you?
Sorry, the cruel facts are incontrovertible and this one set alone about the resources China now devours in ever greater gulps will make you want to hug your children and oppose the same people I do, unless you are an ignorant fool:
I urge you to read just that single set of facts at the Greenhouse Neutral Foundation website of Green Education Network’s Honorary Advisor Bob Williamson. Every vital resource on which the world economy and human survival yet depends is being exhausted at an alarming rate. By mid-century tens and then hundreds of millions will starve annually, until population falls low enough that what remains of earth’s resources can sustain it.
Knowing the dwindling resources will grow fast in cost and soon be exhausted, such that investing in product-based U.S. corporations would soon cease to be lucrative, the sharks in the deregulated money industry moved fast to make a killing selling high-risk debt instruments backed by taxpayers the world over. The sharks knew they controlled governments and treasuries, most especially ours, and sure enough, because they’d haul the lot of us to bankruptcy with them if we let them fail, we had no choice but to save them did we? And sure enough they kept their huge-salary jobs and paid themselves mega-bonuses while millions of us lost our jobs and our homes and savings.
We were all so shocked and confused we let our corporate-beholden government do a lot of stupid things from Oct 2008 to date, but if you follow the money and keep your eyes on where it went, and you won’t find a ton in Obama’s pockets.
And now the Supreme Court appointees of Republicans Regan, Bush and Bush have made it legal for the real culprits to spend corporate cash to win the election of conservative Republican and Tea Party candidates who’ll give them even more of exactly what THEY want. Their cash comes from we who buy the things they sell, we who are their employees and produce their profits. I’m all for free enterprise, I don’t want government running corporations, but neither do I want corporations running government and those who represent us in it.
Speaking of Palin and oil, the smiling sharp-tongued puppet keeps saying her Alaska produces 20% of America’s energy when in fact it produces only 3% of it. And it galls me that WE bought Alaska, and yet Alaska pays only Alaskans and oil companies a handsome stipend. Seems to me it’s OUR oil, and Exxon and the rest ought to be indebted to all of US for letting them pump it and sell it back to us at a profit. And Palin has the nerve to take credit for paying OUR oil’s proceeds only to Alaskans and corporate-oil profiteering?
Do you see how pervasive is the insanity? Think!
And what is Palin’s idea of good energy policy? Pump the oil and gas like mad, and mine and burn the coal like there’s no tomorrow!
And then what? Do you think the mega-corporations who’ll make the killing on unsustainable madness will lobby for increased spending on alternative energy development and technology, so your children and grandchildren will have a prayer? Do you think the people who use oil to make asphalt, and the big corporate contractors who’ll make a killing using it to resurface America’s gas-economy highways, will lobby for funding of development of technologies like those needed to build Solar Roadways?
Take a look, Solar Roadway  is an example of alternative energy technology having enormous potential, but funded by DOT to the tune of only $100,000, a rounding error on the bonus tax-payers gave the CEO of Goldman Sachs, one of those who savaged our Treasury:
http://solarroadways.com/main.html
But before you get hopeful about Solar Roadways and other possible big-scale energy technologies, get terrified. Oil-champion Palin came close to being VP of the U.S. in 2008, and conservative Republicans, Tea Partiers, corporate interests — Obama-bashers all — are determined to make her President of the USA in 2012.
Speaking further of Palin and oil, but now as relates to national security, let me warn you further. In her bash-Obama speech, Palin griped he was not tough enough with our foreign enemies, that we ought to make better use of our military power.
Here’s my near-term warning: if corporate usurpation is completed in 2010 with the witting and unwitting help of conservative Republicans and Tea Partiers, and Palin defeats Obama in 2012, America will already or soon be in the grips of a severe depression (except our wealthy including the corporate elite). Needing an external enemy, Palin will get us into a holocaust of war of her own precipitation, over access to oil.
The excuse will be terrorism or an Iranian tyrant soon to have a deliverable nuke. The oil-fool will be backed by corporate elitist Cheney-types who like his Halliburton stood to profit from war, and by those of the mentality of many (not all) in the Tea Party movement who want government spending slashed, but not defense spending of course.
So, let’s wake up, cut the spending that’s wasteful or rat-holed of course, but while we go about the task of throwing out those who really are the rascals, don’t take your eye off the corporate elite and corporate special interests for so much as a split second. They are public enemy number one, and they are much more shrewd, conniving and greedy than the average U.S. citizen, no matter that citizen’s political persuasion.
At the bottom of the biggest rat-holes of all, feed the corporate elite. And I’m warning you that if you let them have their way the way Palin and the Tea Party conservative Republicans would, they will literally let your children and grandchildren starve, if they haven’t already expended them in a holocaust of war.

Palin stands for everything that is bad and will become worst. If she had half a brain that wasn’t washed, she should hope that all the wealth she accumulates will be handed over to her children when she dies and hopefully one of them will be able to think for them selves and decide to actually do something for the benefit of mankind and ultimately decide weather their own children will live or die, because at this rate, I see nothing to look forward to in a corporate run world.. and I am a Canadian.
It is true that we have many problems. It seems hard for me to be opptimistic. Even so i will debate any day the convictions of the truth and freedom from oppression. The greedy seem to want to avoid being objective about the truths. The truths of greed come from subjectivity and scammming the last nickel from any customer. This is capitolism though so love it or be accused of being a socialist. (Please accuse me, please, lol) Much on the plate..can we clean it all??
